Breaking News: Tension As Delta Community Crowns Dead Prince
There is palpable tension in Mbiri Community in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State following the death of the heir apparent to the throne of Mbiri kingdom, Prince Evans Alekwe.
Members of the Community who were thrown into uncontrollable mourning and anger, took the remains of the late Prince, laid it down on the traditional crowning stool and crowned him King.
An action seen as a desecration of the Kingdom, has however, been overshadowed by reactions of the people who are pointing accusing fingers to some spiritual foul play targeted at eliminating the true heir to the throne.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a member of the community told ASABA METRO that, the Prince died on Sunday, September 22, 2019 of alleged poisoning. “It’s a abomination for the Prince to die while his father is still alive and on the throne”.
